Comprehensive Plan Overview
Woodson Terrace is a great community to live, work, and raise a family. The City’s comprehensive plan will shape a shared vision for the next twenty years, guiding decisions on land use, infrastructure, economic development, housing, parks and recreation, and overall quality of life.
A comprehensive plan serves as a strategic guide for the community, shaping decisions (both large and small) over the next 20 years regarding future land use and the City’s physical development. It translates community values into specific actions, creating a blueprint for the future. Additionally, the comprehensive plan is closely integrated with other municipal documents and initiatives to ensure a cohesive approach to development, city services, and overall city decision-making.
The Discovery Report is Now Available!
The ‘Discovery Report’ is the first deliverable (product) in the process of developing a comprehensive plan for Woodson Terrace. It represents the end of the first phase of the planning process. This report focuses on:
Community Engagement and Community Survey
Existing Conditions and Recent Trends
This report should be considered an “In-Progress” document and will be updated and edited, as needed, for inclusion in the draft and final Comprehensive Plan. The intent of this document is to provide a foundation of existing conditions, data, research, and analysis for the formation of the draft and final master plan.
Join Us for Open House #2 to Review Growth Scenarios!
Join us on for Open House #2 on Tuesday, March 3rd from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Woodson Terrace Community Center (4300 Calvert Avenue).
At the Open House, attendees will have a chance to review the three growth scenarios for Woodson Terrace, including:
#1 Airport Gateway District
#2 Family Focused
#3 Senior Destination
The meeting will be an open house format, so attendees can stop by anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
